Maureen Morrison. whose maiden name is Stringer, founded the company in 1992.
As a professional 'cellist, teacher and parent of young string players she wanted to create a centre of excellence for string players of all ages in a pleasant, relaxed environment.
Buying an instrument can be a daunting experience for parents and students. The staff at Stringers therefore have been carefully selected for their supportive skills and knowledge.
All of the staff are string players and most are also teachers. Although we
have a special interest in providing instruments for children and students we
also cater for professional players. Here the more advanced player can book
our spacious studios to try out our finer strings and bows. Staff are on call
to help and advise if required.
